SAN DIEGO NIGHTLIFE INDUSTRY ÒSD LOVES NYÓ FUNDRAISER NETS OVER $80,000 FOR

HURRICANE SANDY RELIEF EFFORTS

Over 500 people came out in support of hurricane victims at Hard Rock Hotel San DiegoÕs 207 nightclub

(SAN DIEGO) November 7, 2012 – David Laurent, owner of NightlifeSD, and Justin Zotts, partner at Gramercy Management Group, operators of Hard Rock Hotel San DiegoÕs 207 and Float nightclubs, today announced a total of $82,000 was raised to assist victims of Hurricane Sandy at a benefit event held on Election Night. The event, ÒSD Loves New York,Ó took place at 207 nightclub and featured a slate of popular local deejays, champagne toasts, and an appearance by local radio personality Frankie V.  In addition to donating 100 percent of the nightÕs door and beverage revenues to relief efforts, Laurent pledged to match bar sales dollar-for-dollar. Three charities, including In Good Company Hospitality Relief Fund, The Rockaway Hurricane Relief Fund and Carl V. Bini Memorial Fund: Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund will each receive equal portions of the eveningÕs proceeds.

ÒThe show of support for the victims of Hurricane Sandy was truly mind blowing last night,Ó said Laurent.  ÒThe number of people who stepped in to volunteer their time and donate money to this cause surpassed our expectations.   We thank each and every person who had a hand in making SD Loves NY a success, allowing us to make an impact on the East Coast.Ó

Category one Hurricane Sandy ravaged the East Coast, crippling New York CityÕs public transit and leaving over 50 people dead, millions without power, and hundreds of people homeless. The Associated Press reports that the damage of this powerful storm is estimated to top $20 million. With close ties to the New York City neighborhoods devastated by the storm, David Laurent, owner of NightlifeSD, and Gramercy Management Group partners were compelled to help the hurricane victims, many of whom include friends and family.
